By using Festich, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

  • Account information — your name, email address, and hashed password when you create an account.
  • Usage data — API call logs, document processing metadata (page counts, processing times), and feature usage patterns.
  • Document data — files you upload for processing. Documents are processed in memory and deleted immediately after extraction unless you explicitly choose to store results.
  • Payment information — billing details processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, and device information collected via server logs.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and improve our document parsing services.
  • Process payments and manage your subscription.
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts).
  • Monitor service performance and prevent abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your uploaded documents to train machine learning models.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest) and follow security best practices to protect your information.

Uploaded documents are processed ephemerally and are not retained after processing unless you explicitly enable result storage.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Processing logs are retained for 90 days. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
